moi: hey, i just stepped out of office. I'M HUNGRYYY!

B: *yawns* actually i just had a really heavy lunch. why don't u come over first and we can have some chai?

moi: NO! i'm so hungry i'm ready to start eating people!

B: uh-oh. we'll go for dinner! right now!

generally, Chinese people eat early (try getting food in a China canteen after 6 and you'll know), and Indian people eat late with frequent tea-breaks. it's been more than a year, but we still have this problem.

Haha!

I remember how me and my colleague sat outside the restaurant in Mumbai until 7 pm because the restaurant didn't open till then. Customers only started coming in after 8.30 pm, and it was still busy in the restaurant at 10 pm.

You probably forgot this, but I said, sure let's meet up at an Orchard Road coffee-shop which serves food as well. More about compromise, less about capitulation.
